10th Planet Oakland Wins 2024 JJWL Golden State Team Championship

10th Planet Oakland captured first place at the 2024 Jiu Jitsu World League Golden State, winning the Adults & Masters No-Gi team championship.

It was also a dominant showing for the greater Northern California 10th Planet team, with three separate academies sweeping the team podium:

1st — 10th Planet Oakland
2nd — 10th Planet San Mateo
3rd — 10th Planet San Jose

The result highlighted both the strength of the competition program at 10th Planet Oakland and the depth of the growing 10th Planet community throughout Northern California.

For 10th Planet Oakland founder and head coach Michael Hillebrand, the championship was especially meaningful because of the collective effort behind it. Team titles are built through the performances of athletes throughout the academy, with every result contributing toward the final standings.
