10th Planet Oakland Wins Team Title at 2025 JJWL Finals NorCal
A shared effort from kids, adults, and masters brought Team Savages the team title at the 2025 JJWL Finals NorCal.
Kids, adults, and masters all contributed as 10th Planet Oakland captured the team title at the Jiu Jitsu World League Finals NorCal on November 23, 2025.
It was a true team effort, with athletes across age groups stepping onto the mats and representing Team Savages.
A Challenge for Every Level
JJWL is one of the local tournament circuits we enjoy because it gives beginners an opportunity to test themselves against peers of similar rank, weight, and age. Having a competition to work toward gives training a clear goal, and stepping onto the mat is a chance to face nerves, overcome challenges, and put new skills into practice.
That opportunity matters whether it’s someone’s first tournament or they’ve been competing for years.
A Championship We Share
Our kids, adult, and masters competitors all played a part in bringing this title home to Oakland. So did the training partners who helped them prepare, the coaches guiding them, and the families supporting them along the way.
We’re proud of the championship and everyone who took on the challenge. Thank you to everyone who competed, coached, and supported the team.
For anyone inspired to start their own journey, our kids jiu jitsu program and adult classes welcome complete beginners. You don’t need competition experience or plans to compete to be part of the team.
