10th Planet Oakland Wins 2025 Legacy Jiu Jitsu Team Championship

10th Planet Oakland captured another team title on September 14, 2025, taking first place in the Adult Team standings at the Legacy Jiu Jitsu Championship.

Team championships are different from individual titles. They are the result of athletes throughout the academy stepping onto the competition mats, earning victories and contributing points toward a collective result.

The first-place finish at Legacy added another championship to a growing competition record for 10th Planet Oakland and reflected the depth of the team across multiple athletes and divisions.

Led by founder and head coach Michael Hillebrand, the Oakland competition team has continued to test its Jiu Jitsu across local, national and international competition.

Congratulations to every 10th Planet Oakland athlete and coach who contributed to bringing another team championship trophy back to Oakland.
