10th Planet Oakland Athletes Score Submission Wins at Fight to Win San Francisco

10th Planet Oakland athletes delivered a strong showing at Fight to Win 251 in San Francisco, earning multiple submission victories on the professional grappling stage.

Coach Corbin Bilund picked up a submission victory by leg lock, adding another strong performance to his competition résumé. Corbin serves as the head of the kids program at 10th Planet Oakland and continues to actively compete while helping develop the academy’s next generation of grapplers.

Having experienced, active competitors leading the youth program is an important part of the coaching philosophy at 10th Planet Oakland. Corbin’s continued experience competing at events such as Fight to Win and ADCC Trials gives him firsthand experience testing his Jiu Jitsu under pressure and bringing those lessons back into the academy.

Chris Clark also represented 10th Planet Oakland with a submission victory, finishing his opponent with a D’Arce choke.

The finish was especially fitting for Chris, who has earned the nickname “D’Arce Vader” around the academy for his success with the submission.

Fight to Win’s San Francisco event gave 10th Planet Oakland athletes another opportunity to represent the academy across the Bay and compete on a professional grappling stage. Performances like these are part of a larger competition culture at the academy, with students and coaches regularly testing their skills throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

Congratulations to Corbin Bilund and Chris Clark on bringing home two submission victories for 10th Planet Oakland in San Francisco.
